Osramba Studio
Osramba is an Akan word that translates to “Moon child” in English. The studio was founded by Ghanaian artist Kwame Akoto-Bamfo in 2010. The studio, with the slogan “Multiple Art Solutions” was then structured around the skill set of Kwame who has extensive research and experience in multidisciplinary eclecticism.
The early years saw the studio take on multiple and diverse projects in 2D and 3D animation, architectural visualisation, fine arts, set design , fashion and art education. Osramba studio gradually started focusing on sculpture and African art after the official unveiling of Nkyinkyim Installation in 2017.
The studio has now been focusing on creating work for Nkyinkyim museum while training others and mentoring young talents through its residency and art workshops.
Osramba is also the primary studio for the creation of Nkyinkyim Installation, an evolving installation in Ghana; Nkyinkyim Museum, and in the USA the Legacy Museum and National Monument for peace and Justice at Montgomery in Alabama.
